Introduction:
Offered only once in 2004 at the awe-inspiring retreat center
of Inner Harmony in Brian's Head, UT.
This hands-on course, taught
over 7 days, is open to yoga instructors who've taught at least
3 years or participated in a Forrest Yoga 3 week Teacher Training
Course. Instructors of all Yoga traditions are welcome as the
skills you'll learn enhance all teaching styles. Participants must
have
a regular personal practice and be ready to move deeper within
themselves and assist students in the discovery of the physical,
emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga.
The Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training Course is a comprehensive
and intense program available to yoga instructors around the world.
Ana Forrest designed this program to be highly experiential. The
training includes chanting, daily meditation, Pranayama, intensive
yoga practice, working with injuries, addressing the needs and
challenges of students, mentoring your own practice and needs and
learning the principles of class sequencing for the setup and optimal
implementation of advanced poses. The trainees are taught how to
put into practice and teach intermediate and advanced arm balances,
backbends, hip openers, abdominals, vinyasas, inversions, and bound
poses. Teacher trainees are also shown how to work with people
of different levels, abilities and body types.
"My intent in teaching Yoga is
to do my part in healing the Hoop of the People; to inspire
people to clear through the stuff that hardens them and sickens
their bodies so they can walk freely and lightly on the earth
in a healing way, a Beauty way." – Ana Forrest
